Maybe it took me four years to see it or maybe he got it from me, but I’ve realized we both bite on our fingers when we’re either nervous or anticipating reactions from other people. It’s what he does best—making people react. Whether good or bad, it doesn’t matter. This boy thrives off the feedback he receives from everyone. And I don’t believe in being born to do something or destiny or fate, but it’s clear to me that he deserves some kind of audience. Be it a crowd of rioters, punks, drunks, or news reporters—I truly believe it’s where he belongs. Just so he can feel that high, that anticipation. Just the look in his eyes, waiting, just waiting, for that first laugh from a joke he has just told or that stupid video he found on YouTube, it’s the best look he wears.
